Night Diving &
Explore the Underwater World by Torchlight
As the sun sets, the underwater world transforms as many fish go to sleep and the nocturnal critters come out to play! The SSI Night and Limited Visibility specialty course prepares you to dive confidently and safely in nighttime and low visibility conditions. While most divers feel nervous to try night diving, at our Bali diving school you will discover the thrill and enjoyment of night diving under the supervision of an experienced SSI Instructor. Once equipped with the knowledge and skills required to communicate effectively and dive safely at night, you will look forward to nighttime scuba diving in Bali and worldwide!
Due to the timing of the dives, the Night and Limited Visibility specialty is best combined with an overnight diving package to Tulamben or as part of a longer dive safari! Please contact our team for more information.
Safety is our top priority while we strive to provide an inclusive and supportive scuba dive training environment for all our students. Our class sizes are kept small, with a maximum of two (2) students per Instructor.
Your SSI Night and Limited Visibility course begins when you enroll and gain access to the digital learning materials, which you are required to complete prior to arriving at our Bali diving school. The schedule of your course will depend on the arrangements made at the time of booking, however, when you arrive at our dive centre for your course, we will finalize any administrative details and then the excitement of your in-water training begins! You will join your instructor and fellow students on two (2) night dives at some of Bali’s best dive sites to practice various underwater exercises including:
- Demonstrate effective signalling
- Return to a fixed point using a compass
- Experience a simulated light failure
- Execute lost diver procedures
At Ocean Gravity Bali, we prioritize safety and certification is issued based on each student’s ability, comfort level, and knowledge. Your instructor will assess your progress throughout the course and will decide if you are eligible for certification. For more information, please read our Terms & Conditions.
