Day Trip Destinations

Diving in Bali: Nusa Penida

A trio of islands situated off the coast of Bali, Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan, and Nusa Lembongan are famous for their strong currents and potential encounters with manta rays (year-round) and sunfish (July-October). Boasting healthy sloping coral reefs teeming with a variety of marine life, scuba diving Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan is a must-do for every experienced diver planning to go scuba diving in Bali.

The three (3) dive trip to Nusa Penida begins with a 45-minute speed boat ride to the dive sites directly from the beach in Sanur. Our experienced boat captains and guides will select the best dive sites based on the conditions. Sites in the south (including Manta Point) cannot be visited when there is extreme swell present. Other sites often experience strong currents, so it is important that you feel comfortable diving in current.

Your dive trip to Nusa Penida includes lunch, which will be provided during the surface interval between the second and third dives. After you have finished your adventure scuba diving on Nusa Penida, the speedboat will return you to Sanur at approximately 16:00-16:30.

Please note: To visit Nusa Penida, divers must be Advanced Adventurer (or equivalent) with a minimum of 20 logged dives. If you are unsure of your comfort level and experience, consult our team for options as it may be possible to visit with a private guide (at an additional fee).

Diving in Bali: Sanur

Sanur’s long sandy beach offers access to some basic dive sites by boat, which can be used for practicing skills and diver training if your schedule prevents you from traveling to experience some of the best scuba diving in Bali.
